And you have a fresh wound that can get infected easily. Please follow this aftercare to aid in prevention of infection as well as heal your tattoo perfectly. And once again, if you suspect a possible infection or something is wrong with the healing of your tattoo- please seek immediate medical attention! Within 24 hours

Here’s OUR aftercare instructions on how to heal your tattoo over the next few weeks.  please follow the procedure your artist gave you in the studio.
This application is permanent pigment implantation, which is a minor surgical procedure which places pigment into the dermal layer of the skin through thousands of skin punctures that the highly skilled technician has carefully imbedded and impregnated your dermal skin layer with tiny droplets of pigment. Using precise and sterile equipment. Which once the procedure is complete will resemble a piece of art, or script that you agreed upon prior to commencing the procedure.

It is imperative to follow proper hygiene and follow the info providing information to ensure optimum healing results.

All precautions have been met to ensure to protect your tattoo wound from bacteria and germs while you have been in the studio, it is now your mission to do the same to ensure proper healing and to avoid risk of infection from here on out. Failure to do this risks not only damage to the tattoo but also INFECTION!
Healing time does vary person to person, but generally 10-14 days, just to surface heal – it is crucial you follow your aftercare beyond this point.

Upon completion of your tattoo, the artist will thoroughly clean your tattoo with an antiseptic cleanser and cover with a bandage.
Leave the bandage on for max 3 hours or until you return home. Do not rebandage or cover your tattoo area again as Rebandaging could result in an infection.

before you remove your bandage/ or touching your tattoo you MUST wash your hands with soap and water!

Once you remove the bandage, wash the tattooed area immediately with warm water and unscented soap. Use clean hands to lather up the area and thoroughly clean off any blood or body fluids from your fresh tattoo.  DO NOT use a wash cloth! Pat your tattoo dry with paper towel.  Leave the tattoo uncovered so it can breathe and air dry.
DO NOT REBANDAGE WITH ANYTHING !

Its highly recommended that you change your bed sheets prior to sleeping with your new tattoo.

It’s necessary to cleanse the tattoo area when you see build up of body fluid on the surface of the tattoo, this will require cleaning the tattoo frequently the first few days. This process will prevent a thick scab from forming.

  1. purchase unscented soap, and moisturizer and a fresh supply of paper towels from the store
  2. Remove bandage after 3-4 hours. DO NOT REBANDAGE .
  3.   Always WASH YOUR HANDS thoroughly before handling tattoo.
  4. Wash your tattoo thoroughly with Unscented Soap and warm water 3 to 4 times per day. Use your fingers with medium pressure during your washes to help remove any dried secretions in the pores of your skin. Washing with warm water opens the derma pores and gives your skin a deep clean to prevent scabs from forming.
  5. On the first day, if the oozing has stopped, apply a small amount of unscented moisturizer or Cream before bed. If the tattoo is still oozing, we recommend waiting until the next morning before applying. Gently apply a thin layer of unscented moisturizer on your tattoo until completely absorbed into the skin 3 to 5 times per day.
  6. The moisturizer will soothe and moisturize the tattoo. Drying and peeling is normal after the third day. Continue to use Your unscented moisturizer or Cream for the life of your tattoo to keep your skin moisturized and your tattoo looking NEW.

SYMPTOMS OF BAD REACTIONS / BAD HEALING CAUSED BY AFTERCARE

Poor Aftercare is one of the leading causes of a badly healed tattoo.. Some things to look for are extreme seeping/heavy scabbing, excessive inflammation, and most of all a rash (little bumps) or excessive pimples. This is oven a result of over moisturizing your tattoo, or too heavy of application. But is also possible of it being the start of an infection. If you think that you are having a reaction to your aftercare it is VERY IMPORTANT to seek medical attention to rule out infection.

please also stop applying all moisturizer/ointment. And clean the tattoo area thoroughly and allow to dry out.
