Studio Booking & Cancellation Policies

Welcome to Ink Is Art Studio. To maintain a private, focused, and premium 1:1 environment for all clients, the studio operates under strict professional, financial, and behavioral boundaries. By finalizing your appointment with a booking fee, you automatically acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following terms:

1. Booking Fees & Rescheduling Policy

  • Strictly Non-Refundable: All booking fees ($75 for standard custom sessions, $50 for promotional days) are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
  • Specific Date Reservation: Your booking fee secures only the specific calendar date and time block selected during your consultation.
  • Immediate Forfeiture: Because I operate strictly on a private, 1:1 basis and do not take walk-ins, late changes leave an empty slot that cannot be filled. If you request to cancel, postpone, or reschedule your appointment at any time, for any reason—including sudden illness, personal or family emergencies, hair/beauty appointments, or sudden work conflicts—the booking fee is immediately forfeited.
  • Rebooking Requirement: To secure a new date after a cancellation or reschedule, a brand new $75 fee will be required.
  • No Stacked Deposits: Only one $75 booking fee will ever be applied to the final cost of your tattoo on the day of your session. If multiple booking fees are paid due to prior reschedules, those previous fees are forfeited and will not be credited toward your remaining balance.

2. Time-Based Billing Structure

  • Hourly Rate: Custom tattoo artwork is billed at a flat rate of $150 per hour.
  • Scheduled Time Billing: You are booked for a specific timeframe block in the studio. You will be billed according to the total time scheduled for your session. If your session is cut short, delayed, or interrupted due to poor planning, late arrival, excessive personal/phone breaks, or disruptive movement, the full scheduled time block will still be billed.
  • Allotted Breaks: A 15-minute break is integrated into every 1.5 to 2 hours of tattooing. Any additional or extended breaks requested by the client will be factored into the billed hourly time.

3. Appointment Conduct & Studio Etiquette

  • Arrival Timing: This is a private studio space designed for a calm and focused experience. To protect this environment and ensure privacy between sessions, please arrive exactly at your scheduled time—not early, and not late.
  • Guest Policy: To ensure absolute safety, sanitary standards, and artistic focus, clients must attend their sessions completely alone. Guests are not permitted in the studio area unless explicitly pre-approved in writing during your initial consultation. (Pre-approved guests must be 18+, remain quiet, and stay within designated studio seating).
  • Physical Conduct: For your safety and the precision of the artwork, you must remain still during the application of the tattoo. Sudden or disruptive movement, excessive fidgeting, or failure to follow positioning instructions may result in the immediate termination of the session at the artist’s discretion. The full scheduled time will still be billed.
  • Respectful Environment: The studio enforces a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful, aggressive, or inappropriate language and behavior. Any violation will result in the immediate cancellation of your appointment, forfeiture of your fee, and a permanent ban from the studio.

4. Complimentary Touch-Up Policy

Your tattoo is a collaboration, and proper healing depends entirely on how well you follow the provided aftercare instructions. To protect your artwork, the studio offers a touch-up policy under the following conditions:

  • Eligibility Window: One complimentary touch-up is available within 6 months of the original tattoo date, provided the artist determines it is necessary due to natural healing fading.
  • Aftercare Compliance: If a tattoo requires a touch-up due to clear negligence, poor hygiene, picking, scratching, or a failure to follow the mandatory aftercare guidelines, the touch-up will not be complimentary and will be billed at the standard studio rate.
  • Exemptions: Touch-ups on high-friction areas (such as hands, fingers, feet, and toes) are never complimentary due to the natural wear and cellular turnover of the skin in those areas. These will always be subject to a setup or hourly fee.
  • Missed Touch-Up Appointments: If you schedule a complimentary touch-up session and cancel, reschedule, or fail to show up, the complimentary status is permanently voided. Any future touch-up work will be billed at the standard studio rate.

5. Accepted Payment Methods

Your $75 booking fee will be deducted from your final total at the end of your session. For the remaining balance on the day of your appointment, the studio accepts:

  • Cash
  • E-transfer (Preferred)
  • Debit / Credit
  • Physical Gift Cards (Must be presented physically at the time of billing—digital photos of gift cards cannot be accepted)

Every tattoo I create is custom designed specifically for each client.

Design Timeline & Early Design Requests

To ensure your design reflects the most up-to-date ideas, I begin working on custom artwork approximately 3–5 days before your scheduled appointment. This allows any requested adjustments to be made close to your appointment, rather than redesigning artwork weeks or months later if ideas change.

If you would like your design completed before booking an appointment or earlier than my standard design timeline, I offer an Expedited Design Service.

Expedited Design Service

  • $75 non-refundable design fee
  • Your project is prioritized outside of my normal design schedule and completed ahead of your appointment.
  • Because this is additional design time outside of my regular workflow, the fee is separate from the booking fee and is not credited toward your tattoo.
  • Any significant design changes requested after an expedited design has been completed may require an additional design fee.

This service is completely optional. Most clients simply book their appointment and receive their custom design within my normal 3–5 day design window.
